Even if you already have a rough idea of a common theme, you can use our hints to make sure you're on the right path. Good luck! In this guide: How to play Connections Connections hint for Saturday 15th March What are today's Connections groups? What are today's Connections answers? Here are the 16 Connections words for today: How to play Connections Connections is one of the most popular (and challenging) daily puzzle games published by the New York Times (owners of Wordle ). The aim of Connections is to group the 16 words of the day into four groups, where each group of four words has a common theme.

For instance, the words "Hook", "Nana", "Peter", and "Wendy" are all Peter Pan characters. Or to take another example, "Action", "Ballpark", "Go", and "Stick" are all words which commonly come just before the word "Figure". Your job is to figure out what these themes are that connect the various words together - but be wary, because a lot of the time there are deceptive red herring connections placed purely to throw you off! To win the game, you have to find all four Connections without making 4 mistakes.

On your fourth mistake, the game is over and the answer is revealed automatically. Each of the four groups in each day's Connections puzzle is also assigned a different colour, which represents how easy or difficult the Connection is to find. These colours are: Yellow (Easiest), Green (Easy), Blue (Medium), and Purple (Hardest).

If not, check below for the full answer. What is today's Connections answer? Here is the answer to today's Connections puzzle on Saturday, 15th March: Yellow: Sharp Protrusion (Barb, Bristle, Needle, Spine) Green: Features Of Stringed Instruments (Bridge, Neck, Peg, String) Blue: Litigation Verbs (Charge, Move, Serve, Sue) Purple: In “Star Light, Star Bright” (May, Might, Tonight, Wish) Except yellow, today's Connections themes weren't at all obvious to me. Purple was quite hopeless even, as I've never heard of the 'Star Light, Star Bright' nursery rhyme - the ones I heard as a kid belong to a different language.

That said, I did think of a 'wishing upon a star' connection when I saw 'wish' and 'tonight', but it wasn't enough to solve the theme. Similarly, I thought of a guitar when I saw 'neck' and 'bridge', but since I don't play a stringed instrument I lacked the knowledge to complete the theme at that point. I had to rule out some more words first, which I did by gathering the green group.

After staring at the word soup for a while, 'serve' and 'sue' formed a clear match, after which it made sense to add 'charge' and ultimately 'move'. With only purple and green left, however, I suspected I was on the right track with the guitar thing and suddenly realised that 'string' had been staring me in the face all this time - three words matched, one to go! I wasn't 100% sure about peg, but it sounded guitar-y enough to give it a try. Luckily, it was a gamble with a happy ending.
