Bigg Boss 18 contestant Nyra Banerjee talked about Bigg Boss losing its essence amid its future season cancellation reports, and what are the key factors behind the same. Bigg Boss, known for its intense drama and controversies, has been in the limelight ever since reports of the future seasons cancellation surfaced on social media. While many celebrities have already dismissed the rumours, Nyra Banerjee, who participated in Bigg Boss season 18, opened up about the same.
She revealed how the show has evolved over the years, and that it has already lost its essence by reaching its latest seasons. In a candid chat with TellyChakkar, Nyra Banerjee addressed the ongoing buzz about the Bigg Boss future seasons getting cancelled and whether the show will be able to maintain its essence if no further productions happen by Endemol Shine Productions which produces Bigg Boss through JioStar Network. When asked about the rumours that makers of Bigg Boss have announced about the future seasons getting cancelled, Nyra immediately quipped, “Unhone announce nahi kiya hai (They haven’t announced it)," adding, “Yeh zaroor maine suna hai through news only ki shayad Endemol ne pull back kiya huya hai.
So, Endemol being a production house agar woh nahi banayenge toh mujhe nhi pata ki Bigg Boss hoga bhi ya nahi hoga. Kya dusra production house usey lega, kya uska jo value system hai jo Endemol banata tha woh same rahega ya nahi rahega I don’t know. (I have definitely heard through news only that maybe Endemol has pulled back.
So Endemol being a production house if they don’t make it then I don’t know if Bigg Boss will even exist or not. Will another production house use it, will its value system which Endemol used to create remain the same or not, I don’t know.)" The Divya Drishti actress further mentioned, “But mujhe strongly lagta hai ki agar ye decision huya bhi hai pullout ka it is also because I think humne woh original essence jo hain nah ek personality show ka woh kho diya hai.
Yeh mujhe lagta hai. (But I strongly feel that even if this decision has been taken to pull out, it is also because I feel that we have lost the original essence of a personality show. This is what I feel.
)" Afterwards, elaborating on how the recent seasons of Bigg Boss have turned out, the television star stated, “Logon ko lagta hai ki logo ko toxicity hi pasand hai. That is working (People feel that toxicity is working only) but there has to be a balance of both people who want to. Through a reality show, audience want to see the goods and the bads, the real person.
Then only they can give the favourites. Its not, it should not be that ki aap show ko apne hisab se apne tariqe se bana rahe ho. Nahi shows bante hai public ke liye, usko public ke liye banao.
Let the public judge. (That you are making the show in your own way. Shows are made for the public, make them for the public.
Let the public judge.)" The interviewer then highlighted Karan Patel’s statement, in which he mentioned that when the show had begun initially it featured 13-14 celebrities, and used to give a sneak peek into those individuals’ real lives. To this, the Pishachini actress quickly nodded in affirmation.
Afterwards, as the interview asked about the influencers presence in the recent seasons of the show, she explained, “See definitely yeh ek drama ko add karta hai kyunki logon ko drama chahiye (It adds a drama because people want drama), I understand that. But aap uss essence se loose nhi kar sakte ho. (But you cannot loose the essence) What is the essence? Why was this made? Uss essence ko kho dena (Loosing the essence) is something which I dont think is a good idea.
" Talking about Nyra, she was among one of the contestants of Bigg Boss 18. However, she was evicted from the show on Day 21..
