NY weather: Weather alert issued for heavy snow in New York Friday evening

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 6:37 p.m. on Friday for heavy snow until 7:30 p.m. for Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland and Chenango counties.
