The Owerri club is yet to record a win in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) this season. Heartland occupies the seventh position on the NWFL table with one point.

Ogbala believes he has what it takes to turn the fortunes of the team around. “Well, the league is a marathon. It’s still morning, and we are continuing the fight for positive results.



They will surely come, and I can confidently assure you that the wins will come very shortly,” Ogbala stated. “I believe strongly that the expected wins will come in no distant time. I cannot tell you outrightly that it will be today or tomorrow, but what I know for sure is that the wins will surely come.

“Yes, we are facing Dannaz Ladies in the next home match. That’s a good matchup; they are a good side too. But like I said earlier, we are moving on with the fight for our rightful place in the league.
