President Federation Cup champions, El-Kanemi Warriors, are set for what will be their second game of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season against Nasarawa United on match-day 3 at the Lafia Township Stadium on Saturday (today), PUNCH Sports Extra reports. The game holds one week after the Solid Miners had their first home game of the season postponed indefinitely after Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, was ravaged by flooding. Goalkeeper George Abine said the team has managed to shake up the setback that prevented them from holding regular first-team training at the Maiduguri Stadium.
“We arrived in Lafia on Thursday, and we are ready to take the league head-on,” Abine told PUNCH Sports Extra.
