1 2 Prayagraj: A joint team of Pratapgarh police and Special Task Force (STF) on Friday arrested a hardened criminal identified as Tabrez, a resident of Mandhata, who was evading arrest for the past eight years. He was also carrying a Rs 50,000 cash reward on his head. Police said the arrest of the criminal was made near Majhigava Bridge Road as he was wanted by Pratapgarh police in connection with a case registered under relevant sections of the IPC with Mandhata police station.
A group of 12 assailants allegedly killed a man at Rampur village on August 10, 2016 and 11 of them were arrested later. However, the hardened criminal managed to give sleepless nights to the police for around eight years. Police said as many as four criminal cases were pending against Tabrez in different police stations of Pratapgarh district.
