After launching its Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0 earlier this month, the British tech brand Nothing has rolled out some exciting new features for its smartphones. One of the standout additions is Google's gesture-driven Circle to Search feature, which is now available on select Nothing devices, including the Phone 2, Phone 2a, and Phone 2a Plus.
The company shared the news on its Nothing Community blog, confirming that these devices passed additional testing to support the feature. Circle to Search originally debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and certain Google Pixel phones, and it’s quickly become a fan favorite for those who enjoy intuitive, hands-on technology. This feature allows users to search for anything on their screen by simply circling or scribbling over the object they want more information about.
The feature then uses Google Search to instantly bring up relevant results. Switch to floating videos that allow you to multitask now on the Nothing OS 3.0 update! @novikoff explores new widgets, the picture in picture feature and added freedom to lock screen personalisation.

A new interface will pop up, allowing you to circle or scribble over whatever you'd like to search. Once you’ve highlighted an item, Google Search will show you the results related to it. It’s a smooth and efficient way to access information, whether it’s text, images, or anything else on your screen.
In addition to Circle to Search, Nothing OS 3.0 brings several other useful updates designed to improve the user experience. One such feature is Shared Widgets, which lets users interact with widgets from other devices directly on their home screen.
Currently, this feature is exclusive to Nothing devices and supports square-format Photo Widgets, with plans to add more widget types in the future. Effortlessly intuitive. Dive into Nothing OS 3.

For those who love customization, Lock Screen Enhancements provide new clock faces and a larger widget area, making it easier to access important information at a glance. For productivity enthusiasts, Productivity Widgets are also available, including a handy Countdown Widget. Plus, the Smart Drawer now uses AI to automatically organize your apps into categories, allowing you to pin your favorites at the top for easy access.
Other improvements in the update include a redesigned Quick Settings menu for better usability, enhanced camera performance, smoother multitasking with an upgraded Pop-up View, and better low-light performance with improved portrait effects. With these new features, Nothing OS 3.0 is pushing the boundaries of what a smartphone can do, offering a sleek, user-friendly interface that enhances both functionality and design across Nothing devices.
