This year, many films have done a tremendous business at the box office. Here's one blockbuster that has become most searched movie on Google in 2024. From fantastic thrillers to heartwarming love stories, we have seen a variety of films that showed us the taste of Indian moviegoers. Well, this year, many films have done tremendous buisness at the box office and appeared in most popular searches. One film that has topped Google’s list of most searched Indian movies is none other than The horror comedy drama featured Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi in the leading roles.
Stress 2 was released in cinemas on August 15 coinciding with India’s Independence Day and turned out to be blockbuster. Stree 2 became the first Hindi film to cross Rs 600 crore at the global box office in just 39 days. Moreover, it entered the Rs 200 crore club in just four days, becoming the fastest film in the horror-comedy genre to achieve this feat.
Additionally, it became the fifth fastest film to cross Rs 300 crore in just 9 days, breaking other records of blockbuster films including Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2. Stree 2 is the fourth installment in the Maddock supernatural universe after Stree, Bhediya and Munjya. Apart from Shraddha and Rajkummar, Varun Dhawan was also seen reprising his role as Bhediya in a surprise cameo in Stree 2.
Akshay Kumar and Tammanha Bhatia also made cameo appearances in Amar Kaushik’s directorial. Since Stree 2 earned the number one spot, Kalki 2898 AD, which starred Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan stood on the second spot. Third on the list is Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail.
