But the ‘GOAT’ has all Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans excited, not just because of it’s title but because the movie features two top cricketers from their own IPL team playing cameos. It is no secret that former India and CSK captain MS Dhoni is playing one of the cameo roles in the movie the ‘GOAT’ alongside Thalapathy Vijay, who has reportedly become India’s most highest-paid star even ahead of Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan. The former CSK cricketer making an appearance in the movie is batter Subramanium Badrinath.

Former India batter Badrinath, tweeted an image of himself dubbing for his part in the movie ‘GOAT’. “Have done my bit for #GOAT my first time being part of a movie, very excited ..

.awaiting reviews and feedback,” Badrinath tweeted. It showed Badrinath in the studio, sharing a smile with the makers, as he seemingly prepares to dub his part.

The scene depicts Dhoni walking into bat at the Chepauk in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match involving CSK with Vijay riding a back on the top of the stadium’s roof.

Fans in Chennai couldn’t keep calm as ‘Thala’ and ‘Thalapathy’ united for the first time on the silver screen. Dhoni has massive following around the world but especially in Chennai, having led CSK since it’s inception in 2008. Badrinath, who is 44 years of age, turned out in 2 Tests and 7 ODIs for India in his career.

In first-class cricket, Badrinath notched up 10,245 runs at an average of 54.49 with 32 centuries. He won two titles with CSK under the leadership of Dhoni.

In 2011, Badrinath scored 396 runs in 16 matches at an average of 56.57 with 5 fifties and in 2010 he notched up 356 runs in 16 matches with 2 fifties. Overall in his IPL career, Badrinath scored 1,441 runs in 95 matches with 11 fifties.

He revealed the not so ‘cool’ side of ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni in IPL. “He is also a human..

.he has lost his cool. But that has never happened on the field.

He would never let the opposition know that he had lost his cool. In this match against RCB in Chennai, we were chasing 110 odd. We lost wickets in a cluster there and we ended up losing the match.

“I got out to a lap shot against Anil Kumble. I was LBW. So, I was standing inside the dressing room, and he was coming inside, where there was a small water bottle.

MS just kicked it out of the park. We all just couldn’t make eye contact with him,” Badrinath said about Dhoni. For breaking news and live news updates, like us on or follow us on and .
