NorthPort ships JM Calma to San Miguel for Avan Nava, draft pick

NorthPort's JM Calma is heading to San Miguel as the Beermen acquired his rights in lieu of Avan Nava and a second round draft pick for the upcoming season. The league approved the deal on Wednesday. Calma is recovering from an ACL injury he sustained in last year's Philippine Cup .

Prior to his injury, Calma had averages of 7.86 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.



0 assist. Avan Nava, meanwhile, was selected 12th overall in the first round by the Beermen for this season's PBA Draft. However, he did not see action in the recently concluded Commissioner's Cup and last saw action in the Governors' Cup.
