After showers for some Monday afternoon, Tuesday will be a dry, cool day for Northern California. On and off rain and snow showers will continue for the Sierra until about 8 pm Monday evening. There has been some minor accumulation on grassy areas.
Paved surfaces may be slick overnight. Tuesday will start with a cool north breeze in the Valley. Wind gusts to 25 mph are possible for a few hours on the west side of the Valley.
Sacramento will start the day with temperatures in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs will stay in the 60s in most Valley spots. Communities in the Foothills will see plenty of sun Tuesday with lows in the low to mid 40s and highs in the low 60s.
Sierra temperatures will start in the 10s and 20s. The afternoon will be dry and cool with highs in the 40s. Wednesday will bring increasing clouds with a few showers possible after sunset.
