CARL FORSTER has been praising the squad game at North Wales Crusaders. There is real strength in the ranks of the side this season, demonstrated by three wins from three away matches to open their League One campaign. It’s another away encounter this Saturday as Crusaders’ testing start to the season continues against league leaders Midlands Hurricanes.

Both sides have undefeated records and head coach Forster has praised the attitude of all his players as he gets set to select the 17 for the big match-up. He told CruCast: “Massive credit to them. They’ve been training really well.

“So, it’s not as if I’m naming a 17 and I’ve got lads, you know, sulking, spitting their dummy out. “They’re getting their head down, they’re training well and I’ll be really honest, Friday night I usually pick the team if I can, if I’ve got fully fit bodies and it’s the worst part of my week, because it is the most difficult decision week-on-week.” This weekend’s big encounter will be Crusaders’ first match for three weeks and only their third game since February 23.

They will finally play their first home league game of the campaign against Whitehaven on Saturday, April 26..
