North Columbia road closed as police search area

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A northern Columbia street was closed off on Thursday night as police investigated the area. Boone County Joint Communications sent a notification at 10:25 p.

m. stating that Derby Ridge Drive was closed from Bold Venture Drive to Bold Ruler Court. An ABC 17 News reporter At least seven Columbia police officers were searching the area with flashlights.



A K-9 was also brought out by police. Police were seen looking at a car with apparent damage on back of the vehicle. Check back for updates.
