Nora Aunor’s cortege now en route to Libingan ng mga Bayani

MANILA, Philippines — The cortege of National Artist and Superstar Nora Aunor is now on its way to the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig, where she will be laid to rest with full military honors as part of a state funeral. This follows a necrological service held Tuesday morning at the Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila, where family, colleagues, and fans gathered to pay tribute to the acclaimed actress and singer. Aunor’s funeral procession departed the MET at 11 a.

m. Her casket was placed on a stage adorned with funeral wreaths and flanked by honor guards. A large black-and-white portrait of Aunor was displayed behind it.
