The Dangote Group has hailed Nigeria’s non-oil exportation potential, noted its investments, and called for a focus on the sector for national economic prosperity. In a statement, Dangote highlighted the role of non-oil sectors at the ongoing 2024 Kano International Trade Fair, organised by the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture. The company noted the fair, themed “Non-Oil Export for Economic Prosperity,” resonates with its commitment to economic diversification as its pavilion has drawn customers and stakeholders keen to explore and purchase its products.

The statement read: “Nigeria is a powerhouse for non-oil export, but only if it taps into its numerous resources and potentials. At Dangote, we have demonstrated this with our huge investments in fertiliser, sugar, salt, and cement products spread across several African countries.” It added that the Dangote pavilion revealed brisk business, with distributors and retailers leveraging the fair to stock up on goods ahead of the festive season.



Among the products on display were Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt, and Dangote Fertilizer. Minister of Defence Badaru Abubakar lauded Dangote Group’s contributions to national economic development during his visit to the pavilion. Similarly, the chamber’s Director General, Sabiu Yola, explained the significance of this year’s theme urging Nigerians to explore non-oil commodities for export.
