In an infamous incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh's Noida, the director of a school has been arrested for putting a spy camera in the teacher's washroom. The camera was placed in the bulb socket of the washroom. With the camera, the director used to watch the live footage of the teachers entering the washroom on his phone.
The incident took place at a play school in Noida's Sector 70- Learn with Fun. It came to light after a teacher noticed something different in the bulb holder of the washroom when she went inside. There was a faint light in the holder, that made her more suspicious.
The teacher ultimately told about this to the security guard of the school who later confirmed that her suspicion was true. The teacher then complained about the same to the school director, Navnish Sahay, and the coordinator of the school, Parul. According to the complainant cited by the police, when she spoke to the security guard, he told him that the director had got this camera installed. As the police investigated the matter further, it was discovered that Sahay had ordered the spy camera online. He was subsequently arrested and a complaint in the matter was also filed.
The school teacher also claimed that even before this, she had found a spy camera in the school's washroom and she had given it to the director, the officer said. In another separate incident that took place in November, a 17-year-old boy allegedly installed camera in the women’s washroom of an Inter-College in UP's Sonbhadra. During the investigation, police found that the boy’s house shared a wall with the washroom.
Taking advantage of this, he allegedly installed a mini camera on the wall and connected it to his camera. Later, a girl found the camera and informed the school administration who approached the police. (With inputs from agency).
