Not much progress has similarly been made on the third season of HBO’s “House of the Dragon,” at least according to the actors who star in it. Appearing at a panel at New York Comic Con on Sunday, series stars Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen), Fabian Frankel (Criston Cole) and Tom Glynn-Carney (Aegon II Targaryen) all say they have very little information regarding the new run. Moderator Josh Horowitz asked if any of them had seen a script for the upcoming third season, to which Glynn-Carney said: “Not a jot, not a letter.

The longer they take, the longer we don’t have to read anything for a while.” Smith added, whilst turning to Frankel: “I’ve not heard hide nor hair. I don’t know about you guys.

I’ve not heard a thing – have you?”. Frankel responded: “I’ve heard some things that I couldn’t possibly share here.” Showrunner Ryan Condal and the writers are working on the new season which follows in the wake of the second season finale which aired in August.

HBO has not announced any production or release plans for the series beyond the renewal order and the plan to end the series with its fourth season. The gap between the first and second seasons was 20 months, and airing tends to take place nearly a full year after filming wraps. This means we won’t be getting the third season until sometime well into 2026 at the earliest.

HBO has another “Game of Thrones” spinoff, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” set to debut in 2025. Source:.
