Sohail Ahmed Anjum was also accompanied. He said that livestock staff was fully active in field to prevent the transporting of the disease and spraying to the animals. He said that farmers had been informed about the symptoms of the disease and reporting method to the department immediately through App.



DC REVIEWS WASA SCHEMES Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir chaired a meeting here on Wednesday to review implementation of Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) schemes under the annual development programme. The meeting reviewed 14 proposed schemes under the new development package 2024-25. The meeting was informed that 97 per cent work on nine schemes had almost been completed while three others were being completed with foreign aid and 80 per cent work on those schemes had also been completed.

The meeting was also briefed on the progress made on the construction of disposal stations. The deputy commissioner said that work on urgent public welfare schemes should be completed on a war-footing basis. He ordered for completing ongoing work on Susan Road on priority basis.

MAN ARRESTED IN WOMAN BLIND MURDER CASE Police traced an accused in blind murder case of People’s Colony police station on Wednesday. According to police sources, a police team, headed by SHO People’s Colony Maghfoor Ahmed, traced the accused, identified as Waleed through modern scientific resources, and arrested him. The accused had allegedly killed a woman Mehwish Kanwal by stabbing her with an iron rod on resistance during a theft incident at her home after Sehar during the Ramazan.
