NLEX chalks up 2nd straight win, routs Terrafirma
MANILA, Philippines — Robert Bolick delivered a near perfect shooting to power NLEX past woeful Terrafirma, 104-85 in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.The former San Beda standout scored 13 of his conference-high 32 points to lead NLEX to a 27-11 in the opening quarter.Bolick, last season's Scoring champion finished with a red-hot 11-of-14 shooting, including a perfect 2-of-2 from four-point region.The Road Warriors never looked back especially with import Mike Watkins terrorizing the Dyip with his inside presence as he totally outclassed his Terrafirma counterpart Ryan Richards.Watkins finished with 26 points, 30 rebounds and four blocks, completely out dueling Richards, who had another anemic showing of just six points on 2-of-7 shooting, to go along with seven boards.Dane Torres added 15, while Tony Semerad 13 for NLEX, which outrebounded Terrafirma, 58-43.Vic Manuel led the Dyip with 23 points, while Aljun Melecio and Kevin Ferrer had 10 each.NLEX won its second straight game since opening the conference last week with a 104-87 loss at the hands of NorthPort. Terrafirma stayed winless at 0-3.
