Insurer Niva Bupa on Friday, January 21, reported that it was the victim of a cybersecurity breach. In a stock exchange notification, Niva Bupa said it received an anonymous email claiming that the sender is in possession of customer information. In the notification, Niva Bupa said it is investigating this claim and taking measures to mitigate any potential risks.

"The Threat Actor, via email, claims to have the customer data of Niva Bupa. As a matter of urgency, we continue to conduct investigation(s) of data leak and implement measures to mitigate the risk," the company said. (This is a developing story.
