Nintendo warned the customers in Japan that the majority of them would miss out on pre-ordering the Nintendo Switch 2 console. According to the IGN report , the company said that 2.2 million people applied to pre-order the Switch 2 from My Nintendo Store in Japan.
Due to the mass pre-orders, Nintendo warned the Japanese customers that a "significant" number of them would be missed out. The applications surpassed the expectations that the company had for Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo Switch 2 was launched at USD 449.
