It’s the second round of the Indian Racing Festival (IRF) and the drivers will zoom past some of Chennai’s iconic landmarks — Victory War Memorial, Swami Sivananda Salai along the Cooum River, Kamarajar Salai near Marina Beach — and will finish the race at the Napier Bridge. With breathtakingly fast straights and 19 turns, the Chennai Formula Racing Circuit has been designed around the Island Grounds, which will be the nerve-centre of the races.
