Nicole Cabell, Caitlin Gotimer, Efraín Solís, Jonathan Burton Headline North Carolina Opera’s 2025-26 Season

North Carolina Opera has unveiled its 2025-26 season.First up is Massenet’s “Cendrillon” with Nicole Cabell as Cinderella, Kate Farrar as the Prince, and Lucia Bradford as Madame de la Haltière. Joseph Mechavich conducts the production by Joseph Marvel.

Performance Dates: Oct. 17 & 19, 2025Then comes “Madama Butterfly,” starring Caitlin Gotimer as Cio-Cio-San, Efraín Solís as Sharpless, and Lisa Chavez as Suzuki. Francesca Zambello directs and Arthur Fagen conducts.



Performance Dates: Jan. 30 & Feb. 1, 2026Closing out the season is “Il Trovatore” with a cast featuring the talents of Jonathan Burton as Manrico, Rebecca Krynski Cox as Leonora, Deborah Nansteel as Azucena, and Andrew Manea as Count di Luna.
