New production photos have been unveiled from The Last Five Years ! The musical is currently in previews with stars Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren , who are the only two cast members aside from their understudies. While previews started a few weeks ago , the production will have it’s official opening night THIS Sunday (April 6) at the Hudson Theatre in New York City. Keep reading to find out more.
.. If you didn’t know, this will mark the Broadway debut for the 24 year old musical, which has been performed on the West End, and was made into a movie starring Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick .
The Last Five Years explores the five-year relationship of Jamie and Cathy, told through non-linear storytelling. Cathy tells her side of the story starting from the end while Jamie starts at the beginning. The only time they share the stage is at the middle, when their timelines intertwine.
The musical is only running for a strictly limited, 14-week engagement. Tickets are available on the show’s website or on TodayTix . A limited number of tickets will be available in person the day of each performance for $49 when the box office at the Hudson Theatre opens.
There will also be digital rush tickets available for $49 the morning of each performance starting at 9am on the TodayTix app ! After The Last Five Years wraps, Nick will be heading out on tour with his brothers to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band.
