Nhlanhla Kunene unpacks Eric’s journey in ‘Adulting’ season three

Talented actor Nhlanhla Kunene opens up about his bad boy character, Eric in Showmax's 'Adulting' season three.

Actor Nhlanhla Kunene, who plays Eric aka Tsiki Tsiki in Adulting recently discussed his popular character. NHLANHLA KUNENE: ‘ERIC HAS GROWN’ The Adulting actor Nhlanhla Kunene reveals to Showmax that Eric has grown significantly in season three and viewers are in for a ride. Kunene adds that his bond with Bonga (played by Thembinkosi Mthembu) will become stronger and more honest in the next season.

“Previously, Bonga tolerated Eric’s mistakes, but now it’s about telling hard truths. The writers have done an exceptional job showing the growth in their friendship. It’s no longer just about friends living life; it’s about friends holding each other accountable,” he says.



The River star is also grateful to have worked with legendary actress Mam’Nandi Nyembe, who played a mother figure in his character’s life. “It was a blessing. Mam’Nandi brings decades of experience, so every scene with her is a masterclass.

She draws from her own life and delivers such authenticity that you can’t help but learn from her. Working with her taught me the importance of discipline and being truthful in every moment,” adds Kunene. FINAL SEASON OF ‘ADULTING’ The SAFTA-nominated actor Nhlanhla Kunene will star opposite 2024 SAFTA Best Actor winner Thembinkosi Mthembu who plays Bonga as well as Thabiso Rammusi as Mpho and Luthando BU as Vuyani.

Showmax reveals that the stakes are higher, and the guys are more mature and wiser in the third and final season of Adulting . Bonga is newly married, Mpho is freshly divorced, Vuyani is about to open his dream nightclub, and Eric is trying to embrace a 9 to 5 car service centre job, with a boss. The popular series is produced by Tshedza Pictures who are the producers of The River, Youngins and Outlaws .
