NH ski areas starting to open for a new season

Ski areas are happy about the snow moving in this holiday weekend. Cannon Mountain opened Friday with six inches of fresh powder. Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley Resorts will open this weekend.

Cranmore, Gunstock, and Ragged Mountain are also scheduled to open next Friday. Other mountains throughout New Hampshire, like Mount Sunapee and King Pine, are still working to get up and running for the new season. Bretton Woods opened for the season last weekend.
