THE NGA Pascol Football Club has acknowledged the support of the Pacific Batteries Limited for supporting the team at the last minute with walk-out shirts and caps. Club Patron Alfred Tobem told the paper that the support was a timely gestures as the club heads into the grand final of the Lae Football Association’s season proper finals in Lae last weekend. PBL has been supporting the club with shirts and cap in most of its participation in LFA sanctioned tournaments including the recent support.
PBL’s Sales and Marketing Executive Tony Bais Naiawi said the initiative is part of the company’s social responsibility in supporting its community. “Pacific Batteries Limited is an organization that operates on a business and corporate level, but it also has a commitment to its community,” said Nalawi. “Our commitment goes as far as supporting charity organizations and any community-oriented associations that we can support for the benefit of everyone.
“On that level, PBL has seen that support has to be extended to NGA Pascol Soccer club knowing that most players participating in the sport are young talents that will have a positive change of mindset through involvement in the code.”.
