The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of one of their more disappointing seasons in recent memory. Coach Mike McCarthy and company have fallen to 3-6 on the season and have dropped their last four contests. Not to mention that Dallas has yet to secure a win on its home turf at AT&T Stadium.
To make matters worse, quarterback Dak Prescott, who agreed to a four-year, $240M contract extension over the offseason, suffered a hamstring injury in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons that will keep him out for the rest of the year. In Week 10, the Cowboys rolled with backup quarterback Cooper Rush as the starter, but the seventh-year man couldn't get anything going, throwing for only 45 yards on 23 passing attempts. In the fourth quarter, Dallas tried their luck with Trey Lance for a few plays, but that didn't work out much better, as Lance threw an interception on one of his six attempts.
Tim Heitman-Imagn Images On a separate Dallas turnover with Lance in the game, the quarterback was forced to chase down Eagles safety Reed Blankenship after scooping up a Jake Ferguson fumble and sprinting toward the end zone. Lance notably lowered his helmet and connected with Blankenship to force him out of bounds. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, because of this play, Lance, the San Francisco 49ers' No.
3 pick in the 2021 NFL draft, has been fined $22,511 by the NFL for this use of his helmet, adding insult to injury for the former North Dakota State Star. "This is a new one," Pelissero wrote on X. "The NFL fined Cowboys QB Trey Lance $22,511 for unnecessary roughness (use of helmet) on the play where he knocked Eagles safety Reed Blankenship out of bounds.

com/9EhsD1KO4P Dallas will look to get back on track in Week 11 with a "Monday Night Football" battle against its inner-state foe, the Houston Texans. It seems that Coach McCarthy will stick with Rush as the starter for the time being. Related: Video Emerges of Adam 'Pacman' Jones Being Arrested After Mike Tyson-Jake Paul Fight.
