The Emmys have chosen their No.1 analyst.Greg Olsen, Fox’s No.

2 NFL analyst, has been nominated for an Emmy, his fourth straight time, while Fox’s No.1 NFL analyst, Tom Brady, has not.Olsen shared his delight at being nominated for an EmmyGettyOlsen has been nominated for the Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst award at the 2025 Sports Emmys.

He won the award last year and will look to win the award for the third time in total.“Honored to be nominated for my 4th consecutive @TheEmmys,” Olsen posted on X.“Congrats to everyone nominated.

Some big time names!!”The other nominees: Troy Aikman (ABC/ESPN), Peyton Manning (ESPN2), Bill Raftery (CBS/TNT/Fox) and John Smoltz (Fox/Fox Sports 1).One name missing from that list is Brady, the NFL GOAT Fox threw $375 million at to serve as their top analyst for the next ten season while Olsen was kicked off the top broadcasting crew.Brady’s snub by the Emmys comes after what was a clunky debut season in the booth.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion received criticism for not being able to find the right tone early in the campaign, and the playoffs did little to change peoples’ minds.Olsen’s nomination creates an awkward situation. Despite Fox relegating him from the big games, he still found a way to stand out and be nominated for the highly prestigious award award.

As you can imagine, it’s left fans, who called for Olsen to be reinstated as the No.1 analyst during the season, feeling vindicated.Brady could be joined by a former teammate at FoxAFP VIA GETTY“Yeah you should be in the booth on FOX and not TB.

We’ve had a year of him, it wasn’t good,” one fan replied to Olsen on X.“Yeah, the one who’s good at his job. Good job by the Emmy committee to NOT nominate Brady or Romo!,” one fan posted on X.

“If Tom Brady would have been nominated, what credibility the Emmys had would have been gone. Congrats to Greg Olsen, who earned his nomination,” another fan wrote on X.Nevertheless, Fox will likely be undeterred by all the criticism.

They’ve invested heavily in Brady and he’s always going to be their long-term plan.Fox also never planned for Olsen to be its No. 1 analyst, but he was promoted after Troy Aikman and Joe Buck jumped to ESPN in 2022.

Olsen is still under contract with Fox, though, and has spoken highly of Brady since being replaced by him.Olsen says he has no animosity toward Brady after getting to know him over the offseason and does not look at him as a broadcasting rival.“I want him to do well.

I want him to succeed. I want him to feel I’m a good teammate,” Olsen told The Athletic. “It’s no different than if he came into the locker room with I was a player and we happened to play in the same position.

“My success is not contingent upon Tom. Tom being really good doesn’t make me less good, and Tom being bad doesn’t make me better. Fox has two top teams, and that’s how I view it.

“But I’ve talked to Joe about this – I want people to think that Joe and I are the best crew on television.
