While Terry Bradshaw is focused on covering the National Football League today, his old comments on his political decision are trending on social media. Bradshaw, a Hall of Fame quarterback and an analyst for Fox Sports, announced in 2020 that he was changing political parties. Bradshaw had been a registered Republican voter.

However, in 2020, following Donald Trump's presidency, he decided to switch to a registered independent voter. "I've been a Republican, but now I'm a registered independent. I don't want to alienate anyone, and the minute you say, “I'm a Democrat” or “I'm Republican,” you're kicking off the other side.

I want the best person [in the White House], and I'll pick the one who's most like the way I feel," he told bjtonline in 2020. Getty Images. NFL fans are reacting to the decision.

"He's going to vote BLUE!!!" one fan added. "Bradshaw needs to keep his political opinion to his self, I can see why people turn on the heroes from the past, they open up what they truly think and lose more than half their fans," one fan added. "So I guess Terry had one too many concussions," one fan added.

"Talk about understanding rights and freedom--I don't think Terry Bradshaw understands them himself. Apparently, he thinks everyone should have the freedom to speak out except for Donald trump. Terry is not a very smart man," one fan wrote.

Bradshaw had previously criticized Donald Trump for speaking out against NFL players kneeling for the national anthem. "This is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, it's freedom.

People died for that freedom. I'm not sure if our President understands those rights. That every American has the right to speak out also to protest.

Believe me, these athletes do love our this great country of ours. Personally, I think our President should concentrate on North Korea and healthcare rather than ripping into athletes and the NFL," he said in 2017. Bradshaw has yet to offer an endorsement in 2024, but perhaps it's coming.
