It's difficult to get NFL fans to agree on anything, but it seems that all 32 fanbases around the league believe that Mike McCarthy's days are numbered as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. McCarthy is 3-6 in a "prove-it" season, receiving little help from the team's front office, and judging by recent comments from star pass rusher Micah Parsons, may have even lost the locker room. With McCarthy likely on his way out, the question then shifts to who will replace him.

Deion Sanders has been a popular choice over the last few weeks to fill the role, but he appears to be committed to staying at the college level with Colorado. New comments from Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones have caused many fans to believe that McCarthy's successor may have already been determined. "Yes.

Without hesitation. Yes. He has something that you can't draw up," Jones said on 105.

3 The Fan when asked if Witten could be an NFL head coach. "He reminds me a lot of our other tight end who is head coach up there in Detroit right now (Dan Campbell)." "I swear Jason Witten better not get this job, the only former Cowboy who can have this job is Prime that’s it!," said one Cowboys fan .

"Jerry’s understanding of the nuances of football is like me understanding the nuances of what it takes to make a Cup car have speed," said another fan . "Cowboys hire former TE and Hall of Famer Jason Witten as their next HC," one fan said , believing that Jones' comments mean Witten is the next coach. "First he wanted Garrett to be his Tom Landry.

Then he wanted Kellen Moore to be his Sean McVay. Now he wants Jason Witten to be..

. *checks notes* Dan Campbell Aight. You got it, man," another fan added .

"Most great players don’t end up being good coaches," said one fan . "Jerry gonna make Witten our next coach straight out of highschool," one fan added . "I’d like to be the first to congratulate Jason Witten on the future head coaching role of the Dallas Cowboys!," another fan said .

We'll see if Witten ends up taking (or if he's even offered) the job, but it's clear that a large portion of the Cowboys' fanbase doesn't want to see it happen. Related: Cam Newton Names Best Landing Spot For Deion Sanders - And It's Not The Cowboys.
