Students proved themselves a cut above by creating fabulous hairstyles. The next generation of stylists enrolled in the hairdressing course at Nacro, in Bolton, participated in a hairstyle showcase. The competition, judged by industry professionals Amy Cowen, Emily Barnes, and Donna Simpson, saw Diana Hedagus clinch the first position, followed by Bethany Harwood and Louise Allen.

Each participant received gifts from VTCT as a token of appreciation for their efforts. The students had an hour to complete their task following their completion of a moodboard in previous lessons (Image: Supplied) The Nacro Hair and Beauty Level 1 course in Bolton is tailored to equip students with industry-specific skills through hands-on training . In addition to vocational skills, the course aims to enhance students' English, maths, and digital literacy skills, to 'strengthen the foundation' for future employment and life.
