And I'm tired.’ Still, Katie remained thankful through the exhaustion: 'I have the opportunity to do this all over again for another two weeks.' 'It’s been a painful month for my body,' she continued.

Katie was diagnosed on February 13 after discovering a painful lump in her breast—despite having no family history of cancer—and was originally set to begin the I-Spy breast cancer trial this week. Meanwhile, life outside the hospital hasn’t slowed down either.

Katie and Jeff, who connected through Instagram just a year ago, got engaged five months later and said “I do” in an intimate backyard ceremony in March, with only their parents in attendance.
