Thirty new jobs will be created with the opening of a new food haunt on a busy retail park in the new year. Blanco Lounge will open on the Middlebrook Shopping and Retail Park on Wednesday, January, 8 by Loungers plc, the West Country-based café/bar group - creating 30 jobs. The new restaurant will build on the borough's growing reputation as a food and drink destination.
Blanco Lounge will be open all day, every day for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, including full kids’, gluten-free and vegan menus, served in a relaxed, welcoming space. The Loungers build and design team say they have transformed the new unit in the Middlebrook Shopping Park in their unique style. Gemma Irwin, head of community at Loungers, said: “We’re so looking forward to opening the doors of Blanco Lounge.

"Anyone looking for a space to host events or groups should pop in once we’re open, we’d love to hear from them and see what we can do to help.
” It's not the first food spot to open in the area this year, with chicken restaurant, Wingstop, opening back in August. Popular chain Five Guys also opened on the site recently. Blanco Lounge is said to cater for all tastes throughout the day with a varied and innovative all-day menu.
