The rose was created by Harkness Roses, which is donating £2.50 from each sale to Oakhaven Hospice.

The Oakhaven Hospice rose is a pure white climbing rose with orange stamens and large blooms. It is a "powerhouse for pollinators" and can grow up to 2.5 metres.

The rose was created by Harkness Roses, which is donating £2.50 from each sale to Oakhaven Hospice. The hospice provides specialist end-of-life care to patients and support for their loved ones in the New Forest, Totton and Waterside areas, as well as Oakhaven Wellbeing, which supports those navigating life-limiting conditions, caring for loved ones, or experiencing loss or bereavement.

The hospice is mostly reliant on donations, fundraising and gifts in wills, with only 11 per cent of its annual costs covered by the NHS. Jill West, community and events manager for Oakhaven Hospice, said: "We are delighted to be able to launch an official Oakhaven Hospice rose, that makes a great gift or a memorial to a loved one. "The Oakhaven Hospice gardens are simply stunning and this new rose variety enables our supportive community to bring a little Oakhaven into their garden, whilst also helping to raise vital funds.

" The rose is available to purchase online from Harkness Roses. It will be delivered in a three-litre pot..
