A new platform is helping Swindon residents crowdfund for life-saving defibrillators. MyCommunityDefib's "Make Swindon Heart Safe" initiative aims to equip neighbourhoods with 24/7 public-access defibrillators. The platform allows residents to start fundraising campaigns to purchase defibrillator packages tailored to their community's needs.

Once the £1,950 target is reached, the defibrillator is ordered and dispatched. Sophie Verlinden, a spokesperson for MyCommunityDefib, said: "Having a defibrillator accessible round the clock is a simple yet vital safeguard for our families and friends. "We urge everyone in Swindon to come together, raise awareness, and ensure our neighbourhoods are equipped to respond quickly in a cardiac emergency.
