Opel’s best-selling Mokka has been given a major refresh to keep it top of the cut-throat crossover SUV segment. Being the first model in the range to sport the new vizor face, the design team decided not to take a gamble on the original MkII blueprint. Therefore, the exterior is pretty much the same bar a tweak to the front bumper – making it more aerodynamic as are the new aero wheels.
The rear-end gets a new diffuser and there are a couple of new paint options – tropikal green and kolibri blue. In line with Opel’s “Greenovation” policy, exterior chrome fittings have been binned in favour of a black design line running from the bonnet to the rear above the side windows. It is complimented by a high-gloss black trim that flows around the wheel arches across the lower door surfaces to the rear, highlighting its sporty stance.
The lightning blitz logo and Mokka name emblazoned across the tailgate are also finished in black. Inside, though, is where the real changes take place as the entire cockpit gets a refit – complete with new digital displays and a new sporty steering wheel. Taking pride of place in the centre console (now in a matt silver tone) is a 10-inch digital driver information display and equally large colour infotainment touch screen as standard.
The system uses Qualcomm Technologies’ next-generation platforms, to deliver state-of-the-art graphics with enhanced connectivity capabilities such as wifi, Bluetooth and 4G, with ChatGPT functionality and “Hey Opel” natural voice recognition. All fabrics in the cabin are made from materials with recycled content. Irish customers can choose from a tried and tested 1.

This combo enables fully electric driving up to 50pc of the time in urban settings and will appeal to drivers who want to enjoy pure electric driving pleasure without having to connect to a charger.
