A PUB in Rhyl is under new management, and is set to hold a “re-launch party” this weekend. Naomi Clarke, 43, who is “born and bred in Rhyl”, is the new landlady of The Swan, on Russell Road. She started running the pub three weeks ago, with the re-launch event scheduled for Saturday (April 19).
Starting at 2pm, there will be free food, hourly giveaways and live entertainment including music from Wayne Roberts, and an Easter bingo. Naomi said: “It’s my first pub as a landlady. I’ve lived here all of my life, and it’s one of the oldest pubs in Rhyl.
It just appealed to me in every way. “We’ve not changed much as of yet; we just want to get customers back in, and keep it going as a warm, cosy environment and a family-friendly pub, which it has been over the years. We’re available to do parties and functions, as well.
“The first three weeks have been really good; we’re getting there. We’ve had good feedback off people so far.” The Swan is situated just off Rhyl’s town centre.
The property also features a dining area, five bedrooms, an enclosed external patio/garden, and a separate shop premises available in addition to the pub..
