New hours for downtown Fairfield's Art Walk

FAIRFIELD — Downtown Fairfield’s Art Walk returns April 18. The hours are now 5 to 8 p.m. to accommodate the public.

FAIRFIELD — Downtown Fairfield’s Art Walk returns April 18. The hours are now 5 to 8 p.m.

to accommodate the public. It will include at least 12 artists inside different shops, hair salons and restaurants. Eateries will offer a variety of food and drinks.



The Art Walk takes place on the third Friday of the month through December. Fairfield Arts is a place to start. It offers a wide variety of types of artwork.

The gallery features 10 artists, two photographers, two oil painters, a watercolor painter, sculpture/ceramics, two acrylic painters, a wood carver, a beaded jewelry artist and a fused glass and mixed media artist. The gallery, 710 Jackson St., offers photography and oil painting art classes.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.

m. Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday and Monday by appointment. The gallery is owned by landscape and wildlife photographer Dennis Ariza, the president of the Fairfield-Suisun City Visual Arts Association.
