New Forest residents urged to reapply for postal votes

This follows changes to the Elections Act, which state that a postal vote now lasts for three years before residents need to reapply. Those who had postal votes before Tuesday, October 31, 2023, will need to reapply before their votes expire on Saturday, January 31, 2026. NFDC will be contacting those affected in the coming months to inform them of the necessary steps.

Residents can reapply easily and securely by providing their details, including their National Insurance number and uploading a signature on the Government's website. Alternatively, they can download a paper form from NFDC's website. Staff at local offices are available to help if needed or NFDC can send a form through the post.
