A hotel has been awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. Elmers Court Hotel & Resort in the New Forest was given the award by the AA Quality Assessed accreditation scheme, which praised the "comfort and ambience" of the venue, as well as the high standard of service and skill of the chef teams in the Waterford Restaurant. The Waterford Restaurant offers fine dining, with space for up to 60 covers and views across the Solent Coast.

The menus have been designed by head chef Andras Veres and his six-strong team. They are classically British and use the finest seasonal ingredients, complemented by an impressive wine list. Guests seeking a more casual dining option can visit The Solent Kitchen, open daily within Elmers Court Hotel & Resort’s leisure building.

Mark Watts, general manager at Elmers Court Hotel & Resort, said: "This is a major milestone for our food and beverage department. "To achieve so highly against AA quality standards is testament to the hard work, dedication and capabilities of our team, and I am incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. "I look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to Elmers Court Hotel & Resort to showcase the exceptional skills and service that have made this award possible.

" First awarded in 1956, the AA Rosette Award was the first nationwide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels. For more information about Elmers Court Hotel & Resort, and to make a reservation, visit macdonaldhotels.co.
