Chennai: Tambaram corporation commissioner inspected the construction site of the new corporation office at Tambaram Sanatorium on Friday. The building, expected to be completed in 18 months, will be inaugurated by chief minister M K Stalin. The office, spanning 4.
69 acres near the Tambaram Govt Hospital of Thoracic Medicine, is being constructed at a cost of 40 crore. It will include parking facilities for 90 cars and 355 two-wheelers. Minister for municipal administration K N Nehru, who laid the foundation stone earlier this week, announced that Tambaram Corporation would soon become one of the state's largest.
He stated that nearby areas, including Vandalur and Mudichur, would be merged, with the expansion likely finalised before the next local body elections.tnn.
