More clips from Netflix’s Geeked Week presentation today. First, a new “Cyberpunk” animated series is in production though there are no more details beyond it being set in the usual Night City location and will be a new series. The show will follow in the wake of “Cyberpunk” Edgerunners,” a standalone ONA mini-series which premiered in late 2022 and served as a prequel to the game.
That series received critical acclaim but was a one-and-done with no plans for a second season. Also today comes a new trailer for the second and final season of “Arcane.” This one is a high-intensity action trailer so quick-cut, blaring, and flickering that it is almost nausea-inducing.
In the final season, Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun. Actresses Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell introduced the clip and will be involved in an after show tied to the series. The reveal included confirmation of the new season’s release plans with the first episodes dropping on November 9th, the second on November 16th and the third on November 23rd.
If its nine episodes like the first season, that means three episodes each..
