Netflix has just unveiled the trailer for a series that viewers are hailing as 'one of the best creations' from the streaming giant. First premiered in 2019, Love, Death and Robots is set to release its fourth season this May. The show follows an anthology format similar to another Netflix hit, Black Mirror, with each episode telling a fresh story.
Over its three seasons, the last of which was released in 2022, the animated series has delved into weighty themes such as the potential risks of advanced technology. After a lengthy three-year hiatus, Netflix has now confirmed that the new season will drop on Thursday, May 15. The forthcoming instalment will showcase ten new short stories, all masterfully crafted by a team of writers and artists.
At the helm is showrunner Tim Miller, renowned for directing blockbuster films like Deadpool, reports the Mirror . The rest of the crew is equally impressive, with Oscar-nominated filmmaker David Fincher (Fight Club) serving as an executive producer for the 13-time Emmy-winning show. In the latest teaser, released on Tuesday (April 8), viewers get a sneak peek into the 'ten trips' they can expect from Volume 4.
However, in true Love, Death and Robots fashion, there's no telling exactly what the storylines will involve. Nevertheless, Netflix has hinted that "the upcoming volume will include T. rex gladiators, scheming felines, household appliances striving for a better work-life balance, and much more.
" The trailer may be light on details, but it has left fans utterly gobsmacked. One thrilled viewer took to YouTube to share their amazement: "My mind is officially blown, Glad to see [animator] Robert Valley back at it again with a brand new instalment. May 15th can't come any sooner!" Another admirer couldn't contain their enthusiasm for the series: "I absolutely fell in love with the way every episode of this show connects with people.
