Netflix fans have been reduced to tears over a new movie on the streaming service they have branded a "must watch." The Life List stars Friday Night Lights actress Connie Britton alongside Sofia Carson and is based on the novel by Lori Spielman. The movie tells the story of Alex Rose, who is left a bucket list and life advice on a DVD by her mother who has passed away.

The plot follows Alex as she starts on the pathway to learning more about herself when it comes to her relationships - both with family and romantic - so that she can receive her inheritance. The film has been leaving viewers both inspired and emotionally distraught. Fans have raved about the movie on social media, with some claiming it has changed their outlook on love as well as their lives after they watched it.

The film is already in the top spot on the Netflix global Top 10 movie chart less than a week after it was released. One viewer said, "As a girl in her 20s, The Life List honestly feels like a life-alerting film." Another added, "Everybody told me this is a romcom but nobody told me I'd be crying for 90 mins rethinking my life choices.

" A third social media user commented on TikTok, "Best movie l've seen in a while," as a fourth offered, "So good but be prepared to bawl like a baby." Another viewer said, "So beautiful and precious. This movie feels like a hug for all the girlies lost in their 20s," as someone else confessed, "Did NOT expect this movie to make me cry as many times as it did.

" Many fans have shared clips of the film on TikTok with heart-wrenching scenes between Alex and her mom, Elizabeth. Elizabeth recorded the messages for Alex as she completed her "life list," which consisted of her goals and dreams she wrote down as a child. Many users on social media loved how Elizabeth advised her daughter that she could find her soulmate by asking four important questions.

The questions are, "Is he kind? Can I tell him everything in my heart? Does he help me become the best version of myself? Can I imagine him as the father of my children?" The movie is currently rated at 73 percent on the popcorn meter on Rotten Tomatoes from users raving about the plot. One wrote, "A movie without violence, depressed people or naked bodies, just a heartwarming story that has a positive lesson. The Life List won't win an Oscar but a movie that leaves you feeling a bit uplifted.

" Another gushed, "Whilst this is not my typical kind of movie I thought I would give it a go and so glad I did. It was funny, serious and sad all rolled up in one. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Such a plot twist and enough to keep you interested throughout the whole movie. The cast were great and the leading cast were perfectly fitted to their roles. A really lovely heartfelt story line.

Very cleverly written." Click here to follow the Mirror US on Google News to stay up to date with all the latest news, sport and entertainment stories. DAILY NEWSLETTER: Sign up here to get the latest news and updates from the Mirror US straight to your inbox with our FREE newsletter.
