Naig was transferred to the hospital around 8 p.

m. on November 29 at her lawyer’s request, BJMP spokesperson Jail Supt. Jayrex Bustinera.

The agency clarified that her medical evaluation “shall not be more than five days” citing a court order. Bustinera also pointed out that the actress-businesswoman had no health issues when she was brought to jail, noting that her medical evaluation is a “standard procedure” in BJMP facilities. The “Star Circle Quest” alum was arrested over complaints of syndicated estafa and securities violation earlier this month and is currently detained at the Pasay City Jail female dormitory.

Syndicated estafa is a non-bailable offense, which means that unless the court sees merit for her provisional liberty, Naig may spend Christmas and New Year while in detention. She was listed as “Rank No. 7” or the seventh most wanted person for November 2024 during her arrest, according to the Southern Police District (SPD).

Naig’s arraignment for her alleged security violations was moved to January 9 after her camp filed a motion to quash. Shortly after her arrest, Naig’s husband Chito Miranda stressed that the embattled actress-businesswoman is merely an endorser of the Dermacare-Beyond Skin Care Ventures. However, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) claimed in a Teleradyo Serbisyo interview that Naig allegedly “enticed investments” into the dermatological company despite not having the proper license to do so.
