Neighbours airs a worrying moment for Cara Varga-Murphy next week as she risks pushing too hard with her recovery. Cara came close to losing her life while doing repair work at the Lassiters complex in recent scenes. There's a moment of relief for the Varga-Murphys next week when Cara is allowed to return home from the hospital.
Remi is delighted to have Cara back at Number 30, although she worries that her wife isn't resting as much as she should be . Cara defends her approach by pointing out that she knows her own body. A more cautious Remi sticks to her guns, promising Cara that they can start to explore known donor options as long as she agrees to rest properly.
Although Cara agrees, she later goes behind Remi's back by getting up in the night for a snack rather than asking for her help. As Cara pushes hard to reach for a high cupboard, she suddenly feels a painful stab in her abdomen. Cara's fresh agony continues the following morning, although she hides her accident from Remi.
Determined to handle things her own way, Cara takes too many painkillers and hopes that the situation will resolve itself. Cara looks forward to the future by reading a book made by families who've gone down the known donor route. But is it only a matter of time before her new painful symptoms catch up with her? Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, November 25.
