New Delhi: A sports anime with a heartfelt plot to support it, Negative Positive Angler premiered on the streaming site Crunchyroll on October 3rd, 2024 this fall. With an original plotline, the show has already garnered a massive fan following with numerous views on released episodes and growing fans of the anime. An original anime series produced by NUT It is directed by Yutaka Uemura, written by Tomohiro Suzuki, and features character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi, and music composed by Tomoki Kikuya.
The opening theme song is “Ito” ( イト , Thread) performed by Van de Shop, while the ending theme song is “Shōnin Yokkyū” ( 承認欲求 , Attention-Seeking) performed by 96Neko. The anime was licensed by Crunchyroll and is ready and available on the site for streaming for those who require a bittersweet story revolving around the genre of sports. Plot The series follows the protagonist, Tsunehiro Sasaki, a simple university student who recently was served a terrible diagnosis by Medical Professionals.
Suffering from a terminal illness with no way out and no cure, doctors inform him that he has only 2 years left to live. To add to the weight of his burdens, a growing mass of debt towers over Tsunehiro’s shoulders. While on the escape from the debt collectors pursuing him to warn back their money, Tsunehiro ends up slipping and falling into the crashing waves of the ocean, overwhelmed by the rising and falling tide.
When it seems that everything good he has ever had is coming to an end, he is rescued miraculously by Hana Ayukawa. Tsunehiro ends up forming a friendship with her, and together with her friend Takaaki Tsutsujimori, the trio become close friends and develop an interest hooked into the concept of fishing..
