SAMBHAJINAGAR: Cops arrested four men from different places in Maharashtra after a 17-year-old girl, who had run away from her hostel, alleged that they had raped her on the pretext of offering help. According to police, the teen, a NEET aspirant , was unable to cope with academic pressure and left her hostel on Dec 2. Two days later, her father lodged a kidnapping case, and that is how police got involved.
Probe revealed that after leaving the hostel, the girl boarded a train and, over the next few days, travelled to four different places. "According to her statement, at each of these places, she was raped by men who had initially offered to help her. After verification, our teams arrested all four suspects and invoked the Pocso Act against them," a cop said.
