Singer Chappell Roan has announced that she will not be performing at this weekend’s All Things Go festival. The 26-year-old pop singer was set to take the stage at the festival on September 28 in New York City and September 29 in Columbia, Maryland. However, in a message shared on her Instagram story, Roan expressed her apologies to fans, stating that the situation has become “overwhelming” for her.

“I apologise to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it. I feel pressured to prioritise a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritise my health.

I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox,” Roan wrote.

Organisers of All Things Go expressed their support for Roan by sharing a statement on X, stating, “It’s important to remember that health and well-being always comes first.” “All Things Go strongly supports artists prioritising their well-being and we ask our community to rally behind Chappell Roan with love and understanding. Let’s continue to show the world that music fans support not only the art, but the artists themselves,” the organisers further wrote in the statement, sharing a screenshot of Roan’s Instagram story.

Roan also recently made headlines following her interview with The Guardian where she shared her insights on the upcoming US presidential elections. “I have so many issues with our government in every way. There are so many things that I would want to change.

So, I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone. There’s problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote – vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city,” she told the publication.

Following the interview, her comments received backlash online, prompting her to address the situation with a series of TikTok videos. In her response, Roan admitted that she will be voting for the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris. However, she also stated, “I will always question those in power and those making decisions over other people and I will stand up for what’s right and what I believe in.

” In another video, she expressed that she’s “not going to settle” for the current options, adding that while she will cast her vote for Harris, she finds the choices “questionable.” Known for hits like Good Luck, Babe and Hot to Go!, Roan has several upcoming performances, including shows in Tennessee and the Austin City Limits festival in Texas. She is also set to be a musical guest on Saturday Night Live on November 2.
